The inaugural Arts and Antiques at Creekside Grove, will be held Sunday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a $6 admission fee or $5.50 with show coupon. Creekside Grove is located off of Rte. 374 in Lenoxville and features spacious grounds complete with a modern dinning pavilion and bathroom facilities, horseshoe pits and a regulation baseball field. According to organizers, the nature trails and fishing pond, which is stocked by Tunkhannock Creek, and scenic views add a special dimension to the event. More than 40 antique dealers and artists from Pennsylvania and New York will sell their wares at Creekside Grove, in addition to a variety of specialty artisans.

“We have carefully selected the finest vendors for our shows to offer the best and largest variety of antiques and the fine arts to create a fabulous experience for all who attend,” said Paul Daugevelo, owner of Ros-Al Floral and Antiques, with stores in Carbondale, Forest City and Hawley. “Vintage jewelry, oriental rugs, china, pottery, Native American pieces, glassware, toys, country art, photography, coal and wood stoves, dolls, religious pieces and all manner of antique curiosities and more will be found here. The entire day into the evening will have all the atmosphere of a traditional country fair.”

Wine and beer tasting will be offered as well as horse and carriage rides, food concessions, antique appraisals and live music. The Griffin Pond Animal Shelter will also have animals on-hand for adoption and will accept donations of pet food, litter and cleaning supplies for the shelter care.

The third annual Antiques in the Park will be held Saturday, June 28, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Carbondale’s Memorial Park, located across from City Hall. More than 30 antique dealers will sell their wares that day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Trolley tours will take place at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. with singing by Classic Voices. An antique car show will be held from 4-8 p.m. and a wine tasting and art exhibit will be held at the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce from 4-8 p.m. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

Show coupons can be picked up at Ros-Al Floral and Antiques in Carbondale, Forest City and Hawley to receive discount admission for the inaugural Arts and Antiques at Creekside Grove. No admission fee will be charged for the art and antique show in Carbondale.
